Patreon Rewards for February 2017 posted for Morning Glories. Wow. So much happened in the last month, I barely know where to start listing the events.
The original painting of Morning Glories went up for auction during Operation Gaia and Rusty Werner had the winning bid of $30. Her painting is winging its way to her right now. Bids for the 70 plus paintings was brisk and raised a few thousands dollars. I’m awaiting the news from the Changeling Artist Collective on the final tally. I passed all the hoops and requirements to become a substitute teacher in several districts in the area, and had my first full week of work in the middle of the month. The 5 AM wake-ups are pretty draining as is getting used to having less time to make art.
New book news
I’ve been furiously inking the pages for “Color and Conjure,” all 60 are due on March 1. I made great progress the last few weekends, and have 25 pages left to ink. During days I sub, I can get 1 a day complete, on none sub days, my best total has been 4. So, it looks like I will make my deadline.
Color and Conjure is up for pre-order on Llewellyn’s website and well as amazon and the cover is amazing. So exciting. I still get a thrill when a new book baby gets shown to the public. That never seems to diminish even after 12 years. (2005 saw the release of my first children’s book.)
