Can you tell I was watching Star Trek while I did this doodle?

Today was a better day. Still a bit sideways, but a flurry of emails seems to averted further disaster.

The elderly cat seems to be gaining a bit of weight back on the new ‘cheap’ supermarket food. Go figure, the cats don’t care for the food that is good for them. Finicky, spoiled creatures. It’s all the same to me. I don’t have to plan a special trip to a store 20 miles away and spend a fortune on food that ends up in the trash uneaten half the time. Makes my life easier.

I go back to the tummy doctor tomorrow to report on my progress. I guess compared to March, I am eating more normally, but I still have trouble every time I eat. And I am beginning to wonder if I will ever recover the strength on the left side of my body in the area of the emergency surgery. I still can’t push myself up with my left arm. In spite of strength training exercises and daily yoga workouts. I refuse to give up and keep reminding myself the doctors at the hospital said full recovery could take as long as a year.

I made nut-oat-bran muffins for breakfast and the house smells amazing.

Now it’s time for bed and cuddles with my honey.
