I admit, these doodles are less than creative. I think I need to move on to something else. Looks like I can develop a rut even if I am only scribbling around.
Of course, the last few days have been rather frantic.
Saturday started out with my daughter’s father showing up a day early. We were all still in our pjs and the kid wasn’t even awake yet. I sent him away for a coffee while she motivated herself into the land of the living.
He cme back and she still wasn’t ready. So I offered him a seat in the living room.
He sat down on the couch by the window and the elderly cat attempted to crawl out from behind it. She wasn’t acting right. I picked her up and placed her in the middle of the floor and she just collapsed right where I had set her. As she’s 16 and fairly feeble, I was on the phone with the vet nearly immediately. I raced upstairs and threw on the first thing I pulled out of my dresser and raced over to the vet with her.
Near as he could tell, she has a kidney infection. So she is on amoxicilin twice a day. Takes two of us to get the medicine into her. One to hold all the pointy parts and the other to force her mouth open and squirt the medicine down her gullet.
Needless to say, my Saturday plans sort of had to be scrubbed by the time I returned home from the vet.
Sunday was a better day, but equally busy. Not only was it our weekly visit to the MIL, we also had our grand daughter’s birthday party to attend. She is quite the lady now. It was a good party and she seemed pleased with all her loot. 🙂
