This week’s life sketching long session was a bit of a challenge.

The model picked a pose that I thought looked uncomfortable to hold over the 3 hours. I asked her if she was comfortable when we started and she assured me that she was.

She started in an upright pose for the life sketching long pose, and as the afternoon progressed she became increasingly lower to the platform. If I was only doing 20 minute studies this would haven’t been a big deal issue, but I like doing the long poses to get a good grasp of structure, anatomy and lighting.

I did my best to go with the flow, but the top of the sketch is not aligning as well with the lower portion because of the amount of model drift. LOL
