I decided I needed to get back to basics and do some quick studies of children’s faces. Here is an hour study of the son of a friend of mine.
Of course, since it’s only an hour study, there isn’t time to go into serious detailing and pattern rendering. But I do thing I got the gist of the expression and the idea of it being a bit on the cold side outside.
If you have a child between the ages of 2 and 10 – especially boys, contact me if you’d like to share clear, large images for me to do my studies from.
I’d love to see your comments.
Very nice! You work quickly and accurately. I’ve been a part of the FB Daily Drawing Challenge group for similar reasons. I think you’re correct when you exercise those skills and use them with consciousness, it positively impacts your work. Well DONE!
Thanks. I see so many things wrong, but it is only a study and not a finished piece. I have to stop being a perfectionist. LOL Basics are so necessary to level up skills.
