Patreon Skater Girl Rewards posted for August 2016

OMG!!! Summer is flying by this year. I can’t believe we’re in the last month of the season. While I know I’ve been tremendously busy with things I can’t share yet, it feels like I’ve accomplished so much less than I had planned.

Patreon Update

Patreon Skater Girl Rewards art is done, and since she was also the art for postcards, they’ve been ordered, too. (The little hippo child image from earlier in July is gracing the back of the card.)

I’m waiting on editorial revisions from the publisher on my secret book project. I can’t wait to share that with you.

I’m also hard at work on the newest picture book dummy. Lots of animals in this one. Fun stuff.

Become a supporting patron for the August 2016 Patreon creation. All I’m saying is “Pterodactyls.”

Medical Mishaps

July was a medically expensive month, first my daughter thought she broke her thumb. So off to urgent care with her. Luckily, it was just a bad sprain and not a break.

The week after that, I got stung by what I thought was a bee while in the garden. I slathered the sting with baking soda and vinegar and promptly forgot about it. Until several days later when the area around the bite was swollen, itchy and had a red rash radiating out from it. I called my doctor who called me back and told me to go to the emergency room ASAP. Off to Urgent Care for me. I got put on some heavy medication and the swelling is now gone, as is most of the angry red rash.

This past weekend, it was my elderly cat who required a quick visit to the vet when I noticed  his face swollen on the right side. The vet looked him over from top to bottom and couldn’t find any obvious cause, so prescribed an antibiotic for oral infection – because the most likely culprit could be an infected tooth. The cat seems happier, except for the minute it takes for us to give him his medicine.

Can I be done now?
