Several of my crit partners and I have given ourselves a challenge to read 10 picture books a week. I also decided to add middle-grade books to my list, but they will take longer to read since I can only read in small intervals. This week’s books are:

It’s said that in order to become better at one’s craft, one needs to read 1,000 picture books. I’m hoping this is so. Some of the books I picked up have me wondering why they got published or why the person who illustrated them was picked.
